Old Thorns Hotel and Resort I have to admit that I had never heard of Old Thorns hotel near Liphook when Chelsee got in touch last May. I’ve not played golf in years. South Farm wedding South Farm, a country wedding venue on the Hertfordshire/Cambridgeshire borders, was Olivia and Will’s choice for their midweek July wedding. The day before had been one of the hottest days in the UK for decades – I know, I was stuck in stationary traffic for over an hour on the M1 motorway (for no apparent reason). The heat, and the blue skies, eased off for the wedding day. Rather than overbearing heat, it was a pleasant, if overcast, summer’s day. Corfe Church Corfe church was meant to be the location for Mary and Alex’s wedding back in July 2020, but we all know what got in the way back then! So roll forward two years, to the same weekend in July in 2022, and they finally got married in Corfe church. Lewes Registry office wedding Lewes Registry office, otherwise known as Southover Grange, was the location for Rosie and Jake’s wedding in June. Before the excessive heat of the summer of 2022. Coverage begins with Rosie and her friends getting ready at her mother’s house near Mayfield in East Sussex. Once ready, Rosie’s Stepfather drove her down to Lewes in his pride and joy, a vintage sports car. Weddings in 2022 – back to normal? Weddings in 2022 began for me at a brewery in Oxfordshire on a surprisingly mild and sunny day in February. The bride is the sister of the groom from a 2014 wedding I shot. Weddings in 2022 then ended on a bitterly cold day in December, in Sussex. Just twenty-four hours later the snow came. Great Foster Hotel Wedding Great Fosters hotel near Egham in Surrey and a wedding on one of the hottest days in the summer. Everyone wants good weather for their wedding day but sometimes the heat can be a bit intense. A local church ceremony first… A Kingdom wedding but Lucy and Gareth got married first in their local village church, St Denys’ church in Rotherfield. It’s a church I’ve been too before. It has some handy old pubs very nearby. That is where the coverage starts.
