Wedding photography in 2011 A last post for the year, my wedding photography in 2011. An interesting year for many reasons. For one, this new website (and new domain name) is now twelve months old but is still frankly a work in progress – some tweaks to come in the New Year. (Any constructive suggestions welcome!) The groom, Jack, mentioned it in his speech, but getting married on “Remember, remember the fifth of November” will certainly help when it comes to remembering the wedding anniversary date in years to come. Reportage wedding photography at a Peasant pub wedding This Saturday saw Mary and Lewis’s London wedding. With preparations at their home in E14, it was a taxi ride to the ceremony in the council chamber of Hackney Town Hall and check out the light in there! Light like that is a gift if it falls in the right place and it did. This was a wedding from start to finish at Nutfield Priory. From bridal prep, to Mike waiting in the ceremony room. From the ceremony to drinks inside (not the best weather day). Tythe Barn wedding A Tythe Barn wedding. The luxuriously renovated Tythe Barn near Bicester in Oxfordshire, under largely glorious blue skies. What is a Tythe or Tithe Barn? From the Middle Ages, they were where produce was stored, with a percentage going to the landlord in payment, usually The Church. This barn is part of a family farm dating back to the fourteenth century. As was the weather… It’s July, but somehow Mother Nature forgot this and skipped summer to offer up a more autumnal day of heavy downpours with the odd few moments of sunshine.
