  • Selen & Ross | London Engagement Shoot

Selen & Ross’s wedding in September, at Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park, promises to have an international flavour – namely Turkish and South African. Ahead of this, they had a pre-wedding shoot in London’s ( relatively sunny ) Hyde Park. Here are a few images…

  • Laura & Antoine | Pershore Engagement shoot

A pre-wedding shoot with Laura and Antoine on a cold, wet, English summers evening. They will be married at Pershore Abbey in Worcestershire next month. Although pre-wedding shoots are usually held at a venue different from the wedding location, the logistics of finally meeting up ( Laura & Antoine live in Birmingham ) meant meeting up in Pershore. So braving the wet, the cold, we managed to get some shots done, in and around the Abbey church, after discussing the wedding plans. Here are a few images…

  • Sarah & David | Stanway House wedding

Stanway House wedding photography The Weather.…a British obsession and with this summer so far, not hard to understand why! Against a backdrop of TV and radio news bulletins, proclaiming ‘Noah’s Flood’ about to hit the South West of England, it was a soggy journey to Gloucestershire for Sarah and David’s wedding this weekend. They were to get married in their church, Trinity, ‘a vibrant Anglican Church in the heart of Cheltenham town centre’. The sun did appear, just prior to and during the service but the pastor’s grateful words for the sunshine were to be premature – a very…

Charlotte & Sean | Suffolk wedding

Suffolk wedding photography It was a Suffolk wedding last Saturday – Charlotte and Sean’s intimate wedding in Bawdsey. Childhood sweethearts, Sean was marrying his former deputy headteacher’s daughter! My journey up from Sussex had seen almost two hours of torrential rain, but the coastal micro-climate in Suffolk meant lots of sunshine with fast, scurrying clouds and a lot of wind! That wind would feature throughout the day – the wind loves bridal veils! It also loves it when a bride tries to stand on a shingle beach for pictures too…. 🙂 The day began on board two very old…

  • Philippa & Nic | Ham Polo Club wedding

Ham Polo Club wedding Coverage kicks off at their home in West London – where Philippa was getting ready with family and friends. The wedding ceremony was at St Andrew’s church in Ham. Luckily not an anti-photography vicar for once! But he did manage to confuse his words – the marriage was almost that between “Nicola and Philip’ – it got some laughs. Hugs outside, followed by some confetti and everyone then made their way to the nearby Ham Polo club The summer rain held off! An unusual wedding reception venue, with a terrace for drinks that overlooks the polo…

Old Greens Barn Wedding | Jeny & Scott

Old Greens Barn wedding photography Jeny & Scott had planned a simple wedding with family and friends. No traditional aspects like ushers, bridesmaids, best men or even lengthy speeches – they were looking for a good ‘summer’s party’ instead. The question was would the June weather play along? The reception venue, Old Greens Barn is just down the road from me and relatively new. A Surrey Barn wedding. Leatherhead Registry Office Coverage began just up the A24 with a quick ceremony at The Mansion, the registry office in Leatherhead before being followed by a barn reception at a relatively new…

    Anglo-French wedding | Aurélie & Simon

Anglo-French wedding photography Last Saturday saw Aurélie and Simon’s wedding in the village of Ménestreau-en-Villette, just south of Orléans in the Sologne region of France. Slightly different job this – Simon is one of my wife’s friends from University. I was a working guest on this one! After a civil ceremony in London a few weeks before, the religious blessing took place in the village church, only a short walk through the woods from the reception venue, the Chateau Villette. Chateau Villette A impressive loooking house built in the late nineteenth century, situated in the heart of the Solognote Forest.…

  • Cuckfield Hall wedding

Cuckfield Hall wedding | Julia & Alex

Cuckfield Hall wedding photography The sun certainly shone on Saturday – on what was one of (if not The) hottest days of the year so far. After the bitter cold of early May, it felt more like a hot summer’s day in August. Great timing! Julia & Alex were married at Sussex wedding venue Cuckfield Hall, The Queen’s Hall, in the village of Cuckfield. The name Cuckfield is believed to derive from Anglo-Saxon for ‘a clearing in the forest or the haunt of the cuckoo’. It’s sits just outside the town of Haywards Heath. Coverage begins with Julia getting…
