Pembroke Lodge wedding photography Pembroke Lodge suited in one of London’s Royal Parks, in Richmond Park, was the venue for the third wedding in last weekend’s trilogy. A grade II listed Georgian mansion, that was once the home to a British Prime Minister. It was also the childhood home of the philospher Bertrand Russell ( That Prime Minister’s grandson). The Lodge is first mentioned in 1754, when it was a one-roomed cottage occupied by a molecatcher. He was employed to eradicate molehills that were impeding the sport of deer hunting. Beaulieu Abbey Church wedding photography Saturday’s wedding was an Anglo-American union with guests from around the world. Siobhan and Jack’s wedding was held at Beaulieu Abbey church in the New Forest. The reception, on a warm September evening, was across Southampton Water in the Royal Victoria Country Park. Beaulieu Abbey church was originally the refectory of the thirteenth century Cistercian Beaulieu Abbey, much of which was later destroyed by Henry VIII’s vandalism. Documentary wedding photography at Gate Street Barn Gate Street Barn, near Guildford in Surrey, was the venue for last Sunday’s wedding for Rebecca and David. Pretty much a local venue for me where I live in Horsham, as it’s just up the A281 towards Guildford (on the way to my in-laws’ house). Only a few weeks before, I photographed Rebecca and David one evening for their pre-wedding shoot, at the Mayfield Lavender Farm. Reportage wedding photography at Kirtlington Park Last Friday saw Justyna and Tom’s wedding in a church in Woodstock, with their reception at the splendid Kirtlington Park. Being the start of the August Bank Holiday, the weather showed promise at first but then the drizzle and the clouds came in order to keep with the Bank Holiday tradition. Pershore Abbey wedding photography An Anglo-French wedding in Worcestershire, Laura and Antoine’s wedding, at the very unique Pershore Abbey. I had always thought I’d been to most places in the UK shooting for The Times newspaper, but when Laura first contacted me, I had never heard of Pershore (a small market town near Evesham – sorry). Sussex and Surrey wedding Isabel and Nick’s Sussex wedding actually spanned two counties. With the service held not far from their home, at St Margaret’s church in Ditchling , in East Sussex and the reception was then at the idyllic Ridge Farm, just over the West Sussex boundary and into Surrey. Girton College wedding photography Girton College in Cambridge, the single location for the wedding of Gemma and Rhys. It’s where they first met. Girton College was established in 1869 as the first women’s college in Cambridge. It wasn’t until 1948 that it was granted full college status by Cambridge University. It then became the first women’s college at Cambridge to become coeducational in 1976. It’s a largely red brick Victorian college, situated on the edge of the city.
