Millbridge Court | Louise & Johnathon

Reportage wedding photography at Millbridge Court
A relatively new Surrey wedding venue, Millbridge Court, in Frensham, is an intimate cross between a boutique hotel and a rather smart family home. Not massive, although it has two good-sized, purpose-built halls for ceremonies, dining and the dancing, it has a nice layout for a wedding day. No extensive acres of grounds but still space for an outdoor wedding – if the weather permits it. (Actually well configured for outdoor speeches too). For Louise and Johnathon, it was fingers crossed that an outdoor ceremony could happen. The call has to happen quite early in the morning, so everything can be made ready in time. But the call was made, the weather played along. It was warm.
Louise got ready upstairs with her bridesmaids and flower girl. A fair bit of confetti packing was taking place when I arrived. The wedding guests were kept at the front, in case they saw Louise in her dress, as she went down to see the registrars. As the dress went on, the tears started. It all gets very real at that point!
Outdoor wedding ceremony
With the guests waiting in the small garden for the ceremony – it was time to start. Flowers on each chair, paper birds hanging from tree branches. A quick exhale of breath from Louise as her father led her down the aisle. A ceremony under the canopy – the fields beyond and the sun shining down. Confetti Run and out, for drinks on the lawn. A few quick portraits, as the guests made their way to the dining hall. Then the introductions for the bridal party and their entrances. I think the two bridesmaids had been waiting for this moment to show off their dancing skills! After the meal, the speeches, drinks outside and a bouquet toss on the lawn, with one very pleased winner!
Then back inside for the dancing. For two guests, the window got in the way!
A nice, warm, happy wedding at Millbridge Court for Louise and Johnathon. Here are just a few images from the day…
