Braxted Park wedding – Eleanor & Daniel

Braxted Park wedding

Braxted Park wedding photography

Braxted Park was the venue for Bank Holiday Monday’s wedding. Eleanor and Daniel had chosen a location very close to their own home. With bridal preparations and the wedding reception taking place at Braxted Park, the wedding ceremony itself was at St Mary the Virgin church, in the nearby village of Kelvedon. Braxted Park is a very smart Essex wedding venue that I’ve shot at a few times now. A trip around the M25 for me.

They had chosen a Spring wedding but don’t be fooled by the sunshine you’ll see in these images – it was freezing! April can be such an erratic month for weather. Early summer or late winter. It was pretty cold for the bridesmaids as they waited for the bride. The vicar helped out.

Nature was playing its own April Fool’s joke as a biting arctic wind sent the temperature dropping to mid-winter like levels. Even the daffodils stayed in hiding. A wind that played havoc with the vicar’s attire, the bride’s dress and hair and then delivered a coup de grace in Braxted Park’s walled garden, by sending the bride’s veil into the fountain ( cue a gallant best man ) But top marks to Eleanor especially. She kept smiling, even though the bride and groom portraits, as the sunset and the temperature plummeted.

But while the wind howled around the pavilion, Eleanor and Daniel were surrounded by the warmth of their family and friends, celebrating a great day. ( Sounds cheesy that bit doesn’t it?  😉  But some cliches are true, have a look below! )

Here are a few images from this Braxted Park wedding…

( The last wedding I shot at Braxted Park, it was a baking hot day, almost too hot – the balance has been restored, temperature-wise! )
