Emma & Ben – Hampstead Heath Pre-wedding shoot
Some images from yesterday evening’s Pre-wedding shoot with Emma & Ben on Hampstead Heath in North London. And the sun actually shone – has summer arrived?
Emma & Ben chose the heath as a location as it’s near their home. This shoot comes just under a month away from their London wedding at The Priory Church of St Bartholomew in Smithfield. It was also a chance to actually meet for the first time since they booked me last October. With most of my bookings coming from recommendations and from guests who were at weddings I previously shot, who then hire me to document their weddings, it was interesting to hear how Emma & Ben found me. It was as they researched a wedding reception venue, came across my images from that London pub and hired me but not that venue.
So here are a few images from the shoot in the evening sun – the best time of the day at this point in the year – apart from the very early morning, but no-one seems keen on shoots then ;-). When the sun is getting low, losing it’s daytime strength and the light can begin to glow.
( Also a thank you to Emma & Ben for not minding my daughter tagging along. It was “bring your daughter to work” day at her school – some girls got to jet off abroad on business trips – others sat in offices. Olivia got to ‘work’ from home all day and then a trip up to North London in the evening. )

I love the look of this shoot! Stunning light on a very intimate shoot. I especially love the last two frames. Beautiful!
